Candidate Forums

The League holds candidate forums upon request.  These allow the forums to be held in a nonpartisan atmosphere where the public can interact with candidates.

Environment

Mitigating pollution, nuclear waste disposal and getting government and other agencies to act responsibly as continuous development impacts the environment and the citizens of Tarrant County.

Voters Guides

Voter Services is our major work for nonpartisan voters guides that inform voters about the candidates with side by side comparisons of what each candidate's positions are.

This committee also works with the award winning website, VOTE411 to help people be informed voters.

Membership

The membership committee welcomes new members, plans and carries out social events for members and maintains membership information.

Voter Registration

Become a Volunteer Deputy Registrar to register voters in Tarrant County.

VDR activities are held under the Voter Services committee.

Program

This is where League positions are made.  Advocacy relies on well thought out and studied positions and not reaction.  There are times, though, that this committee will engage in advocacy.

We are nonpartisan but we are not nonpolitical. Our local advocacy is guided by policy consensus by our membership.

Communication

Handling social media communication, producing The Voter newsletter, website updating, assisting with on-line fundraising, a little bit of marketing, 

Getting the word out using as many avenues as possible yet always evaluating for impact.
